The ongoing feud between rappers 50 Cent and Ja Rule shows no signs of abating. Earlier this year, 50 Cent criticized Ja Rule’s appearance at Nelly’s Hot In Herre Festival, calling it “stupid”. Prior to this, Ja Rule was mocked with a 50 Cent song during his performance at Power 106.9’s Jingle Jam concert.
The conflict continued on September 7, when 50 Cent shared a video on Instagram of Ja Rule performing his 2000 hit “One Of Us” at the BMI R&B/Hip Hop Awards. The performance featured a religious-themed staging with all performers dressed in white robes and Ja Rule tied to a wooden slab. 50 Cent ridiculed the setup in his post, questioning if Ja Rule was trying to portray Jesus and calling it “stupid”.
In a 2021 interview, Ja Rule addressed his feud with 50 Cent, attributing it to the impact of federal investigations on his resources and relationships. He explained that these circumstances hindered his ability to produce competitive records, leading to a perception that 50 Cent had “won” their rivalry.
