The sales figures for the first week of DaBaby‘s debut album Baby on Baby 2have been characterized by a drastic drop from his previous album and a of 86 percent difference in from the first week sales of both albums.

This Friday (Sept. 30, 2013) the independent chart data provider HitsDailyDouble published the Hits DailyDouble Hits Top 50 chart, which revealed DaBaby‘s new album didn’t make it into the top 20. Instead, the latest album of DaBaby, the North Carolina rapper sits at the number. 24 position, with an estimated 17200 units sold. The sales figures for the first week are a significant difference from the numbers of his previous album, Blame It on Baby that debut at No. 1 . Billboard 200 chart after doing 124,000 units during its first week in April. This is with an 86.1 percent drop.

DaBaby isn’t worrying about the decline. This Wednesday (Sept. 28, 2018) DaBaby responded to a lower estimate that included 16,500 units through posting on his Instagram blog post, appearing happy.

“Not bad for da blackballed Baby,” He wrote on the blog along with an emoji of flex.

DaBaby‘s colleagues have also observed the dramatic drop too and have stood on behalf of their fellow blogger and calling his disappearance out of the spotlight into an issue.

“They blatantly black balling da baby .. not my business but ima observer,” Meek Mill opined on Thursday (Sept. 29).

Boosie BigAzz is also a bit confused as to why DaBaby’s reach dropped so abruptly.

“Ain’t no way my nigga @DaBabyDaBaby supposed to sell 16k after selling almost 150k his last first week,” the Louisiana rapper posted on Twitter on Thursday. “The biggest in this”shit[!]” I don’t know what’s going on However, something is certain to be going on.” [!].”

The reason for DaBaby’s downfall is believed to be his homophobic rant in his appearance during 2021 Rolling Loud Miami in the summer of last year. Then DaBaby was able to defend his outburst on stage. In the following month DaBaby apologized to his LGBTQ+ community in a post on Instagram that was deleted soon afterward. Since the time, DaBaby has been surrounded by more controversy than just hits, with several shootings, as well as drama with his daughter’s mother DaniLeigh.
