Over the weekend, J. Cole made a surprise appearance at the iHeartRadio Music Festival 2023, held at the T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas. Although he was not listed on the festival’s lineup, he joined Lil Durk on stage for a performance of their song “All My Life”.
In addition to his unexpected performance, J. Cole also had a memorable encounter backstage with Danielle Fishel, best known for her role as Topanga Lawrence on the TV show “Boy Meets World”. Fishel attended the festival with her former “Boy Meets World” co-stars and current “Pod Meets World” co-hosts, Rider Strong and Will Friedle.
A video shared by a J. Cole fan account shows Fishel excitedly approaching Cole backstage. She expresses her admiration for his work, mentioning that she had seen his show in Los Angeles and was a big fan. Cole responded graciously, expressing mutual admiration.
Fishel also shared a recap of her festival experience on Instagram. The video, set to Harry Styles’ song “Golden”, includes moments from the red carpet with Strong and Friedle, dancing with Lance Bass, meeting J. Cole, and taking photos with Miguel and Kane Brown.
In the caption of her Instagram post, Fishel described the festival as “AMAZING” and thanked everyone involved for the special moments. She also mentioned that meeting Lil Wayne is still on her bucket list.
