Sean “Diddy” Combs is proceeding with his lawsuit against liquor company Diageo, following a judge’s decision to reject the company’s request to dismiss the case or keep it private. This was reported by Billboard.

As per Rolling Stone, the lawsuit will now be conducted in New York and will be open to public scrutiny. Diddy stated that he is fighting for fair and equal treatment for everyone, not just himself, and looks forward to continuing this fight in court.

Diageo, however, has expressed disagreement with the judge’s decision. A spokesperson for the company told Billboard that they believe the claims are false and baseless, and they are currently considering all legal options.

Diddy initially filed a lawsuit against Diageo in May, alleging discriminatory treatment and a failure to invest in Ciroc and DeLeón, which he claimed were only being marketed to “urban” brands. He also claimed that Diageo’s Stephen Rust, the President of Reserve and New Business, told him that race was a factor in limiting the distribution of the Combs brand. Diageo has consistently denied all these allegations.
