The release of Polo G’s album, Hood Poet, is in question following his recent arrest on charges of kidnapping, robbery, and assault with a deadly weapon. Despite his lawyer’s statement asserting his innocence, fans are worried that the much-anticipated album may be delayed as Polo G deals with the legal fallout.

Adding to their concerns, Polo G hinted at a possible retirement from music after the release of Hood Poet in an older post on X (formerly Twitter). “Honestly, after my ‘Hood Poet’ album, I’m considering retiring from music. So I appreciate everybody ridin’ for me tenfold,” he wrote.

As for the release date of Hood Poet, details remain uncertain. Initially scheduled for release on September 15, Polo G announced a postponement due to his ongoing legal issues. However, according to Apple Music, the album is expected to be available on streaming platforms before the end of the year.

No tracklist for Hood Poet has been revealed yet, but Apple Music suggests that the album will feature 18 songs. So far, two singles, “Barely Holdin’ On” and “Distraction,” have been released.

The official artwork for the album has not been confirmed by Polo G, but an image placeholder has been uploaded to Apple Music.

Given Polo G’s current legal situation and the delay of the album, it is unclear whether he will embark on a promotional tour for Hood Poet. Polo G has previously undertaken extensive tours for his albums.
