Only a year after the release of his album “Beautiful Mind,” Rod Wave is back in the studio, preparing for the release of his follow-up album, “Nostalgia.” In a video shared on his official TikTok page, Rod Wave explained the inspiration behind the album’s title. He stated, “It ain’t the destination, it’s the journey for real. That’s why I named this album, ‘Nostalgia.’ Back then, I was thinking about the future or the past instead of living in the moment.”
“Nostalgia” is set to be released on September 15th through Alamo Records/Sony Music. While the official tracklist has not been revealed, a listing on Apple Music suggests that the album will contain a total of 18 tracks. So far, three song titles have been made public: “Call Your Friends,” “Come See Me,” and “Fight The Feeling.”
In support of his new album, Rod Wave will embark on the “Nostalgia Tour” in October, featuring guests Ari Lennox, Toosii, G Herbo, and EELmatic. Fan pre-sale tickets will be available from September 12th, followed by a venue pre-sale on September 13th and general ticket sales starting on September 14th. All sales begin at 10 am local time.
The tour will kick off in Lincoln, Nebraska on October 19th and will include stops in cities such as St. Paul, Milwaukee, Kansas City, Indianapolis, Louisville, Detroit, Pittsburgh, Columbus, Toronto, Baltimore, Albany, Boston, Philadelphia, Brooklyn, Washington DC, Raleigh, Charlotte, Nashville, Birmingham, St. Louis, Chicago, Oklahoma City, Los Angeles, Oakland, San Diego, Phoenix, Houston, Fort Worth, Austin, New Orleans, Atlanta, Orlando, Fort Lauderdale and Jacksonville.
