The inaugural Evolution festival is set to take place in St. Louis, Missouri this weekend at Forest Park on August 26-27. This festival, not to be confused with the now-closed UK-based Evolution Festival, will feature two stages and a “Sauce Magazine Lounge”. The lounge will host bourbon and barbecue experts who will share their knowledge and demonstrate their skills.

The festival’s atmosphere will blend soulful R&B, blues-infused rock, and classic hip-hop. The first day of the festival will be dominated by guitar-focused performances from Brittany Howard and The Black Keys. The second day will feature a somewhat unexpected performance from Ice Cube. The festival is set to conclude with performances from Ben Harper and Brandi Carlile. Coupled with the barbecue and bourbon, attendees can expect an enjoyable time in the park. The festival will open its doors at 2 PM on both days.

On Saturday, August 26, the Missouri Stage will host Modern English, Cautious Clay, Brittany Howard, The Black Crowes, and The Black Keys. The Lindenwood University Stage will feature Punk Lady Apple, The Knuckles, Sugarhill Gang, and Nikki Lane.

On Sunday, August 27, the Missouri Stage will host Michigander, Morgan Wade, Ice Cube, Ben Harper, and Brandi Carlile. The Lindenwood University Stage will feature Yard Eagle, Smidley, Carriers, and The Nude Party.
