Freddie Gibbs has apparently turned a new page by praising his former foe Jeezy and admitting to being “immature as shit” during their fight.
The Gary, Indiana native made the confession on his latest album “$oul” and “old” separately that dropped the following the 30th of September (September 30, 2007).).
In the track “Rabbit Vision,” Gangsta Gibbs expressed his love for the Atlanta rapper who was signed to the CTE World label he was earlier signed to and thanked the artist for helping him learn how to take charge professionally and in a personal way.
“Me and Jeezy still ain’t spoke in years, but I got love for him / Could’ve talked it out, but I spoke out, I let it get to me / Showed me I could be a fuckin’ boss, best thing he did for me / I needed to grow, too immature as shit, I needed to know,” the rapper was rapping over J.U.S.T.I.C.E. League’s production.
Jeezy signed with Freddie Gibbs in 2011 and worked with him on tracks such as “Do It For You,” “Run-DMC” and “.38,” however things turned downhill when Gibbs quit the label with a sour note the next year.
This beef was simmering (if not smooched) for several years in the past, with Gibbs attacking Jeezy in his harsh 2014 track “Real” and Snowman firing back with the 2020’s “Therapy For My Soul.”
“I don’t have beef with him like other people may,” he added. “I think it was two individuals who weren’t communicating in a way that was correct. He had a vision as did I have my own vision but we could not agree on a common goal.
“I don’t have anything against the man or anything similar to that in the least. In one instance I admired him. I am still awestruck by the music he created. I still enjoy listening to the music of his. Like I mentioned, “maybe someday you’ll be able to tell.”
Freddie Gibbs also recently offered a reassurance towards Hip Hop media personality Akademiks who he’s been involved in an argument since the year 2020.
In the Funk Flex freestyle earlier this month, he made it clear that his desire for to have a “sit-down” with the outspoken podcast host , and believes that they could actually be friends when they meet in person.
“I love Akademiks,” he declared. “We gonna have a sit-down … I think if we were to have a conversation, we’d probably be cool.”
One competitor Gangsta Gibbs doesn’t appear to rekindle ties with the other is Benny The Butcher. Former collaborators have been involved in a growing beef this year which resulted in Gibbs having been allegedly beaten up and taken from his chain by the gang of Benny at Buffalo, New York.
In the past The Griselda star posted a picture of Gibbs ex-porn celebrity girlfriend performing oral sexual sex through social media. She was noting: “You gotta be careful… She’ll put tht tongue anywhere.”
Gibbs replied: “Oh yeah fam I knew my girl had porn before I met her. You’re all detectives, however. Do it again … You wish your wife were this bad. I saw her and she’s not!”
The album is the sequel to the album released in 2020, Alfredo and The Alchemist that was nominated to win Best Rap Album at the 64th Annual Grammy Awards, where it fell short to Nas as well as The Hit-Boys’ King’s Disease.
