Gunna’s Lawyers Launch Fresh Bid For Rapper’s Release Over Lack Of Evidence

Fulton County, GA – Gunna‘s lawyers have requested another bond hearing in order to secure the release of their client who has kept in prison under strict prison conditions since his arrest in May in connection with the YSL RICO indictment.

In a report by Billboard the legal team of Gunna, headed by the famous lawyer Steve Sadow, made a application on behalf of Steve Sadow in Georgia the morning of the morning of Monday (September 26) for an order from a judge in order to free gunna. The “Drip Too Hard” rapper after they claimed that prosecutors not been able to “show a shred of evidence” that Gunna (real name Sergio Kitchens) would threaten and intimidate witnesses should he was granted his freedom. This is the primary reason given in his bond being rejected in the past.

Sadow continued to attack the prosecution for not being able to “verify a single instance in which one single person has actually made an accusation that [Gunna] has threatened anybody,” after which she added “Kitchens has been languishing in jail nearly five months.”

He added: “Franz Kafka would be surprised to find out that ‘insert him right now and provide the evidence in the near future’ seems to be the state’s policy within Fulton County … The prosecution has been given plenty of time to prepare evidence that supports its motion to keep Kitchens. The motion hasn’t succeeded.”

“Detaining [Gunna] on the basis that ‘the state will file a notice [supposedly with reasons for detaining him]’ sometime in the future makes a mockery of the due process clause,” Gunna’s lawyers said. “The court may not detain someone on the basis the prosecution is developing its case and will present the evidence at some future undetermined time.”
