During the 2023 MTV VMAs, there were several unexpected moments, including the airing of a 34-year-old Madonna commercial and an alleged feud between Megan Thee Stallion and Justin Timberlake, which was quickly dismissed. However, the biggest surprise for Ice Spice seemed to be her own appearance, as she was taken aback by how she looked in a photograph.
Ice Spice recently posted a photo on X (formerly Twitter) of herself and Taylor Swift embracing at the VMAs. The image, taken from the side, revealed a profile view of both artists. Ice Spice expressed surprise at her own figure in the picture, tweeting, “damn I didn’t know I was that thick hold on.” The post has since gone viral, with over 35 million views.
The VMAs were a successful event for Ice Spice. She took home the Best New Artist award and was nominated in three other categories: Push Performance Of The Year for “Princess Diana” and two Song Of The Summer nominations for her collaboration with Nicki Minaj on the “Barbie” movie song “Barbie World” and her song with Swift, “Karma.” Additionally, her new Dunkin’ commercial with Ben Affleck premiered during the show.
