Nicki Minaj has released her new single, “Last Time I Saw You,” two months before the launch of her fifth studio album, “Pink Friday 2.” The song, which was released on September 1, showcases Nicki’s vocal prowess as she delivers a pop and R&B-infused hit with a deeply relatable message.

In “Last Time I Saw You,” Nicki expresses regret for not cherishing a past moment with someone. She sings, “I wish I’d hugged you tighter the last time that I saw you / I wish I didn’t waste precious time that night when I called you / I wish I remembered to say I’d do anything for you / Maybe I pushed you away because I thought that I’d bore you.”

Fans of Nicki, also known as the Barbz, are expected to keep this song on heavy rotation as they connect with its universal theme of regret and longing.

While Nicki has kept details about her upcoming album under wraps, she hinted in July that it would be a “masterpiece” that would “save & restore hope in mankind.”

“Last Time I Saw You” is available for streaming now. “Pink Friday 2” is set to be released on November 17 through Republic Records and Heavy On It.
