In 2012, B.G., a rapper from the Hot Boys, was sentenced to 14 years in federal prison for gun possession and witness tampering. Recent reports suggest that the hip-hop artist has now been released, a claim confirmed by HipHopDX. Videos of B.G. out and about have also started to circulate.

A viral clip from an Instagram Live session by Birdman, who incorrectly stated last year that B.G. would be released “in a few weeks,” provides visual evidence of the rapper’s release.

Last month, Boosie Badazz revealed that B.G.’s release was imminent. According to HipHopDX, Boosie said, “I’m talking to him every day now. I got the email set up on my phone so I can email him. [He doesn’t have] an actual release date, but he should be home in like three, four months. They already went to the [halfway] house and checked the house where he’s coming to.”

Boosie also shared some of B.G.’s post-prison plans, which include pursuing a few celebrity crushes.
