Last week, rapper Polo G revealed the upcoming release of his fourth album, Hood Poet. However, he is currently dealing with a different issue as his home in Los Angeles was raided by the police on August 23, according to TMZ.
The media outlet shared videos and photos of the incident, showing numerous vehicles and officers from the Los Angeles Police Department at Polo’s San Fernando Valley mansion, which he purchased for $5 million in 2021. The police were executing a search warrant and ordered several people, including Polo, out of the house and handcuffed them while conducting their search.
According to law enforcement sources quoted by TMZ, the warrant was related to a robbery investigation. Four suspects have been taken into custody but have not been formally charged yet. A representative for Polo G told TMZ that while the rapper has been detained as part of an ongoing investigation, he is not the primary target. They also stated that Polo would update his fans and supporters when appropriate.
In the meantime, Polo G’s album Hood Poet, his first since his No. 1 LP Hall Of Fame, is scheduled for release on September 15. Shortly after announcing the album, Polo shared a video for his song “Barely Holdin’ On”.
