Snoop Dogg & Dr. Dre To Reunite For New Album ‘Missionary’

Snoop Dogg will release an album with Dr. Dre in the coming months.

The Doggfather revealed the news during his recent performance during a recent appearance on Stephen A. Smith’s Know Mercy podcast. He disclosed the project’s name is Missionary and is scheduled to be released in November.

This month marks 30 years that Snoop and Dre collaborated on their first album Doggystyle that was the continuation of their winning partnership that they created in the album of 1992 — The Chronic -and surpassed record sales.

“I’ma tell you this, you’re the first one to hear this: me and Dr. Dre have been working on an album for the past two months,” Snoop declared at 34:30.

“And it’s scheduled to be released in November. The album is recorded by Dr. Dre. It’s the 30th anniversary of Doggystyle. The title on the CD”Missionary” is “Missionary.”

Smith asked: “Why do you have that name?” Smith asked “Why that name?” Snoop responded: “The first album was Doggystyle,” leading to a roar in laughter by the sports star. “That is stunning. I love it, man,” Smith commented.

Snoop Dogg as well as Dr. Dre released several teasers regarding their new music plans in the last few months. This past August, the duo were caught in the studio together with Eminem and posted an image of their time together via Twitter and captioned it “just a few bros..hangin out.”

A few weeks later, more photos of Snoop and Dre’s reunion in the studio were released with the longtime friends laughing together while apparently tackling serious business. Diddy was also seen at the recording session and told Dre was his coach during an acoustic take and called it the “dream come true.”

“[Dre and I] are cooking up a little something,” Snoop said to ET during the premiere of the Day Shift film in August. “I do not want to discuss it often, but we’re together. It’s been 30 years since we last made a record and now we’re doing something, and we’re working to do something.”

The 2018 Super Bowl halftime show showed that Snoop Dogg and Dr. Dre duo is active and healthy. In February Snoop Dogg’s former Death Row duo put on an all-Hip Hop show with Eminem, Kendrick Lamar, 50 Cent and Mary J. Blige.

The show’s star-studded cast was awarded three prizes in the 2022 Creative Arts Emmys, including Outstanding Variety Special (Live) as well as Outstanding Music Direction. outstanding production design for the Variety Special (Area).

Missionary will be the rapper’s 20th studio release and his second in the year after the appropriately-titled Bacc on Death Row, which was his first album for the legendary West Coast gangsta rap label as its proud new owner..

Snoop and Dre’s latest collaboration, in turn, was released last year with “ETA,” an exclusive track released to Grand Theft Auto: Online that also included Busta Rhymes and Anderson .Paak.
