The anticipation for SZA’s second album, SOS, and its deluxe edition has been high, especially after the release of her hit single “Snooze” featuring Justin Bieber, Benny Blanco, Woody McClain, and Young Mazino. After much speculation, SZA has finally revealed more about the upcoming release.

During her SOS Album Celebration show at The Navy Yard in Brooklyn, New York, on September 8, SZA shared key details about SOS Deluxe. In a video captured by a fan, she announced that the deluxe edition is essentially a whole new album named ‘Lana’, which is set to include seven to ten songs and will be released this fall. The album’s title ‘Lana’ is an abbreviation of her first name, Solána. This type of Easter egg is typical in SZA’s work, often appearing in her shows and music videos.

Back in May, SZA had to dismiss rumors about an unverified tracklist and release date for the album on her official X (formerly Twitter) profile. Despite the unconventional path of her superstar career, the decision to reimagine the popular album is a bold move given the massive success of tracks like “Kill Bill” and others.
