Nigerian singer-songwriter Tems, known for her chart-topping hits and Oscar Award nomination, has recently been the subject of online rumors suggesting she is expecting a child with rapper Future. However, the “Crazy Tings” artist swiftly debunked these rumors on September 22nd.
Tems responded to the speculation on her official X page (previously Twitter) with a succinct message: “In conclusion, you people are all mad.”
The rumors originated from a video that went viral on September 21st. The footage showed Tems at the Burberry Summer 2024 fashion show in London, where she appeared to be concealing her stomach from the paparazzi.
To further quash any lingering doubts, Tems posted a series of photos from the same day on her Instagram Stories.
The connection between Tems and Future seems to be purely professional. Their only known collaboration is on Future’s 2022 song “Wait For U,” which samples Tems’ “Higher (Live).”
Future has previously expressed his admiration for Tems’ work, stating: “Soon as I heard the Tems sample over ATL Jacob, [it] instantly connected to my soul. Tems’ voice is amazing…Thank you, Tems.”
Given the recent comments by singer Ciara (Future’s ex-fiancée and mother of his son) regarding their co-parenting relationship, it seems advisable for Tems to maintain a strictly professional relationship with Future.
