The personal motto of former First Lady Michelle Obama, “When they go low, we go high,” may not apply in the hip-hop world where feuds can be profitable. The ongoing disagreement between rappers Latto and Coi Leray serves as an example.

Initially believed to be a settled dispute, the feud between Latto and Coi Leray has escalated with their parents now involved. Both rappers made references to each other’s bodies in their songs, “Put It On Da Floor” by Latto and “Isabel Marant” by Coi Leroy, leading fans to think the feud was over. However, a recent verse by Latto in Young Nudy’s “Peaches & Eggplant (Remix)” has reignited the tension.

Latto’s lyrics included a joke about Coi Leray’s father, Benzino. In response, Coi Leray took to her X (formerly Twitter) page asking her followers to find a picture of Latto’s mother, who is Caucasian.

On September 8, Coi Leray shared a text message exchange with her father, Benzino, in response to Latto’s lyrical jab. Benzino encouraged his daughter to stay focused and joked about his own fame, stating, “I got the most famous neck on Earth.”
