Trick Daddy is revealed that he has not only got Ozzy Osbourne’s approval to test his work and that the upfront cost for the sample was far beyond the bounds of acceptable.

“When I learned that the creator of the song was thrilled that I was looking to recreate an example of his beat, and that it wouldn’t require that much effort? I was all set to take on the task,” he said.

The talks allowed Osbourne the right to retain royalties after the implementation of several elements of his first single in 2004’s Trick Daddy single, which was created with Jim Jonsin and Bigg D.

“Of course, I gave him his share,” Trick continued. “But as far as upfront money, it was pennies.”

“Let’s Go” was the first single released from TrickDaddy’s sixth album Thug Matrimony: Married the Streets, which included the regional smash “Sugar” featuring Ludacris and CeeLo Green, as well as appearances from Jeezy, T.I. as well as Trey Songz. Alongside its organic chart success, the song that peaked at No. 7.7 in the Billboard Hot 100, has been featured in a range of movies and commercials like Stomp The Yard and 2014’s Neighbors which starred Seth Rogen and Zac Efron.

“That [song] and ‘Take It To The House,’ they gonna play them forever for y’all,” Trick stated about the song’s popularity. “And when you get a song that lasts forever, that makes you legendary.”
